Zafer C. Cehreli, DDS, PhD.

Dr. Zafer Cehreli is a Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at Istanbul Health and Technology University, with over 35 years of experience in academic and clinical practice. Throughout his career, he has worked to contribute to the field through scientific research, education, and international collaboration.

He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and authored chapters in both dental and medical textbooks. His research has been recognized with several national and international awards. Dr. Cehreli has also served on the editorial boards of scientific journals and remains actively involved in efforts to improve clinical practice through evidence-based guidelines.

Over the years, he has taken on various roles within the International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT), including serving as a Director (2018–2024), Chair of the Education Committee (2016–2022), and as President-Elect (2022–2024). He is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), International Association of Pediatric Dentistry (IAPD), and the International Association for Dental Research (IADR). He contributes to the IAPD Pulp Therapy and IADT Guidelines Workgroups.

His clinical and research interests include minimally invasive restorative dentistry, dental traumatology, pediatric endodontics, and esthetic dentistry for children. Dr. Cehreli has had the opportunity to share his experience through lectures and workshops, having presented at more than 100 international and 150 national events.
